Consent Mode v2
Google Consent Mode v2 lets Trackful respect your visitors' choices while preserving as much conversion measurement as consent allows.
Why it matters
Since March 2024, Consent Mode v2 has been required for advertisers targeting the European Economic Area (EEA). Without it, your Google Ads campaigns risk losing measurement and audience data.
The four consent signals
Consent Mode v2 relies on four signals that describe what the visitor allows:
| Signal | Purpose |
|---|---|
ad_storage | Advertising cookies |
analytics_storage | Analytics cookies |
ad_user_data | Required to send hashed customer data (Enhanced Conversions) |
ad_personalization | Remarketing |
How Trackful adapts
Trackful reads each visitor's consent and automatically adjusts what it sends:
- If
ad_user_datais denied: Trackful sends only anonymous click identifiers, with no personal data. - If
ad_user_datais granted: Trackful also sends the hashed email and phone, which improves the match quality of your conversions.
This keeps you compliant while preserving as much measurement as consent allows.
